This is how it all began. Jim was really wanting my mommy (Addie) to have a cream female puppy. Mom had cream puppies before me. But in all  four littles all the creams were males, six of them out of 33 puppies. Jim had even kinda joke about Mom having a cream female, he knew he was going against the odds. On the way to take my mommy up to spend sometime with my daddy, Jim said. Addie, now you know I want a cream female this litter. He had been praying for a cream female also. When they got to my daddy's house Jim said to the breeder before they do it I have to have a talk with him, the breeder kinda chuckled.

Jim said, I already had this chat with Addie and now I have to talk to him. I'm putting my order in for a cream female!

As mom would lay at night on the floor beside the bed, Jim would rub moms belly and pray for his cream female.

It only takes 63 days for us puppies to grow during those days mommy got bigger and bigger and  Bigger!

Mommy you looked so miserable!

Jim said mom was so big he thought she was going to have 12 puppies, her largest litter before was 10 and she was bigger this time than then. On her due date at 10:30 pm she had  1st. pup and one more before midnight and two more by 12:30 am, it seems as though everything is moving

right along, but then............

N O T H I N G...........

Mommy went all night long and no more puppies!

Jim was so worried he called the vet at 5:30 am, and told him. The vet was quit cocerned and said that a puppy must either be to big or one might be doubled up in the birth canal. He said, whatever puppies  were still in her would more than likly be dead by now. He said, once pups go more than 2 - 3 hours without being born they die. The vet told Jim to have mom in to his office at 7:00 am and it looked like they were head for emergency C-Section. Jim got mom to the office, the vet was waiting on them. The vet took mom and examined her. He came out  and said he thought she was done having puppies, he said he didn't feel anymore and she was out of labor, but he wanted to take a x-ray to be sure. In just a little bit he came out and got Jim and said come here I want to show you something. On the way back to look at the x-ray he said to Jim I got good news and I got bad news for you. Pointing at the x-ray he said we have one pup right here, the pup was way up high in moms rib cage. He said the good news is we know she has one, the other good news (as he was following the birth canal  down with his finger) is nothing is blocking the birth, so I think I can induse her labor to get her to past the pup, but it will be born dead, at this point they really didn't have much of a choice. So the IV was hooked up to induse her labor, within five minutes she had a black girl and she was ALIVE!!!!

The vet could not beleive it!

He said, that just don't happened! He checked her out and said nothing is wrong with her. She was born seven hours after the last puppy. On the way home, Jim was a bit disappointed  he didn't get his "Dutchess" (his cream female) and  had only five pups. He didn't dwell to long on it until he thought, I should be happy at least they are all alive and Addie is just fine. Everyone rested the rest of the day from the big event. The next morning, Jim got up and got Addie out of the whelping box and put her outside to do her business, when she was out he cleaned out the whelping box and got moms food ready for her. Then he left her back in and then it was off for him to get ready for work.

As Jim was putting on his coat to walk out the door, he took one last glance into the box and there was another puppy and it was cream! Jim could get his hands on it quick enough to see if it was a female, he looked.........

You guessed it , it was ME!

He laugh and laugh and laugh with "Joy"

Eveyone in the household was so excited!

After all that had happened the name Dutchess, just didn't seem to fitting anymore.

He said my name shall be called:

"Addies Miracle Joy Angel"

*I was not born in the 1st labor

*I didn't show up on the x-ray

*I was not born in the indused labor

with the dimming sky all aglow?

or the colors of a spectacular rainbow?

that runs ever so endlessly?

that bloom for the butterflies, you and me?

and how they change in a year?

Do you ever wonder about their courage,

to walk, fall over and try again without fear?

Do you ever wonder about love,

and feeling that's deep within?

Do you ever wonder about caring,

that we have for our family, friends and pets?

Do you ever wonder about God's miracles,

could this be what all of these are?

Could this have been paid for by

thorns on His head?

Don't ever under estimate the power of God,

or the endless giving of His love,

The miracles still come and always will,

from Him in his Kingdom above.
